160   LAWNS OF ONTARIO

Where land is owned jointly or occupied by two or more persons who are rated at an amount sufficient, being equally divided between them to give the qualification to all, each is to be deemed to be rated for the purpose of qualification, otherwise none of them can be deemed to be so rated.

Persons rated as tenants must be residents of the municipality at the date of the election and for at least one month prior thereto, and income voters and farmers' sons must be residents of the municipality at the date of the election.

Persons employed for reward in furthering the interests of candidates are disqualified from voting, as are also persons who are in default for taxes and whose names appear on the defaulters' list.

With the exception of tax defaulters and persons who are disqualified from voting by reason of having ceased to be residents of the municipality, the entry of the name on the voters' list is conclusive as to the right to vote.

It may be as well here to call attention to The Disqualification 4ct of 1919. This Act
