ployee is the sole dependent, a monthly payment of forty dollars, but not to exceed sixty-six and two-thirds per cent. of the average earnings of the workman. Where there are children, as well as a widow or invalid husband surviving, the compensation is a monthly payment of forty dollars, with an additional ten dollars for each child under the age of sixteen years, but not exceeding sixty-six and two-thirds per cent. of the average monthly earnings of the workman, while the minimum in such cases under an amendment of 1923 is not to be below the rate of twelve dollars and fifty cents per week. Where children only survive, the monthly payment is fifteen dollars for each child under the age of sixteen years, but not exceeding on the whole sixty-six and two-thirds per cent. of the average earnings of the work-man. Where the dependents are parents or persons other than a widow or an invalid husband a sum reasonable and proportionate to the pecuniary loss to such dependents occasioned by the death will be fixed by the board, but limited to sixty-six and two-thirds per cent. of the average monthly earnings
