J. H. FAULL, Ph.D.
THE following has been compiled mainly from Professor Mackenzie's list, which unfortunately has never been extended. Some few forms have been added; these are marked with an asterisk. It is quite needless to say that this list records but a small part of the algal flora in a district so favour-ably situated as is Toronto.
CYANOPHYCEAE—The Blue-green Algae.
Nearly all of the blue-greens mentioned have been taken from Howard Lake in High Park.
Chroococcus turgidus, Naeg. Merismopedium glaucum, Naeg.
Chamaesiphon incrustans, Grunow.* Abundant on filaments of Cladophora, Toronto Is-land.
Family 0scillatoriaceae. Oscillaria percursa, Kuetz.
