ARTHUR GEORGE WESTLAKE, photographer, Wood-stock, Out., was born on the 4th of August, iS67, at Grimsby, Out. He received his education at private schools and at the public schools of London, Out. He commenced business life as a newspaper boy in London, which occupation lie followed for two •ears, at the same time attending school. At the age of fifteen he entered the establishment of Frank Cooper, photographer, London, and articled himself to him to learn the business. He was employed in this establishment for about seven years. In October, iSS9,

he opened a studio in the town of Woodstock, where he has since continued. Since settling here, the cliaracter of his work has assured for him the largest trade in the town. He does nothing but first-class work, and con-fines himself to photographs alone, availiug himself of all that is new from time to time in the better equipment of his business. Although still a young man, the citizens of Wood-stock consider him one of the best photographers in the province. In religion he is a member of the Church of England. He is also a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
