DAVID R O B B, Inspector of
Public Schools for Fast Huron,
Clinton, Ont., was born on the
23rd of December, 1847, in the County
Armagh, Ireland. He received his
education at the Kingston public
schools, at the Normal School, Toronto,
but chiefly- in private study. He com-
inenced teaching on a County Board
certificate, but, in 1871, «heir the
Scholar Law was amended, he obtained
a second-class certificate, and afterwards,
in 1881, a first-class one. He taught
school tNventy-four years during nine
of -%vhich he was mathematical master
of the Clinton Collegiate Institute,

which position he filled to the greatest possible advantage of the pupils, and with satisfaction to all concerned. In 18go he was appointed to his present position as Public School Inspector. In the various educational appointments he has held, he has proved himself a thorough scholar, and he is now a popular and efficient inspector. Mr. Robb is a member of the Presb-,-terian Church. In politics he is a Reformer, and is a member of the A.F. & A.M. Lodge No. 84, Clinton. He was married on the 27th of December, 1881, to Aliss Annie Parker, of Fast Wawaiiosh, County of Huron.
