Beamsville, son of Mark Jack-
. son, Durham County, Out.,
was born March jth, 2843, at Bilsdale,
Yorkshire, Eng. He spent his early
years oil the farm, and AN-as educated at
the public school in Leskard, and the
\ormal School, Toronto, in the same
classes with James L. Hughes, Public
School Inspector, Toronto, and Dr.
Russell, principal of Hamilton Lunatic
AsvIum. He entered the Wesleyan
ministry in 1867, and was ordained in
Belleville, June, 1871, by the late Rev.
Dr. W. Morley Punshou. He has been
stationed at Listowel, Drayton, Erin, St.

George, Otterville, Oxford Centre, Talbotville, Brownsville, West Flamboro, Jarvis and Beamsville. lIr. Jackson has been repeatedly Secretary of District, and in i888 was Secretary of Niagara Conference of the Methodist Church, and Chairman of Simcoe District. He was a member of the Geucral Conference of i8go, and on the Executive of the Provincial Sabbath School Association during i889 and i8go. He was married June 21st, 1871, to Janet Inglis, eldest daughter of Re James Boyd, for twenty -nine years Presbyterian minister at Crosshill, County `'Waterloo.
