The map must be considered provisional and diagrammatic. The following are recognized:

Fiber zibethicus (Linn) with its 4 races,

Fiber spatulatus Osgood. Yukon Muskrat.

Fiber occipitalis Elliott. Oregon Muskrat.

Fiber obscvirus Bangs. Dusky, or Newfoundland Muskrat.
